Should I write about myself? There's something weird about doing that. Maybe it's just paranoia;
I am a fairly shy person. I think it's something more, though. The world is becoming
a less private place. It's possible that some miniscule part of the whole blog craze may be a reaction
to this change, kind of an attempt by people to control what gets revealed about them, or at least have a
say in it. So here's my cascading, htmlized facade to the world:
I am an Anglo-Saxon male Gen-Xer, not-so-slightly balding, politically conservative and
introspectively Christian. I enjoy philosophical discussion (although I don't think I'm very
versed at it yet) and my favorite thing to do is get comfortable, eat candy, and read (I like almost
anything by the Inklings. And Willy Wonka.).
I live in Mississippi, USA, which just means that I thank God regularly for air
conditioning. I've lived on the same piece of ground all my life, and have watched the
area go from dirt-road-middle-of-nowhere to shopping-mall-suburbia. I'm still not
sure I like the idea very much, but my wife and 3 kids are cool with it.
